A STYLE GUIDE FOR MODERN WOMEN
The dancer’s favorite. This style can be worn with either a long or short, wide or narrow, sash. When using a long sash the wearer should fold and gather the first foot into a rosette and then pin it into place. For a narrow sash just cinch the sash with a rubber band and then pin it. This is a lovely look for anyone who wants a light and simple style.
Picking the Right Brooch:
While the typical lady’s sash brooch is circular and approx. 2” across, feel free to experiment with bigger or smaller pins. Pewter is a great go-with everything choice, but even the difference between a sculptural design and an engraved design can change your look. You may also want to experiment with a gem or glass inlaid design.
